CTS Test Tomorrow

Test Tomorrow in the forensic science section.

Bio Endocrine Test

Endocrine test on Friday.

Sc. 10 Test tomorrow

Tomorrow is our test on speed, distance, velocity and acceleration. We will be starting the next unit so that we can jump right in when we return from the break.

CTS Test coming up

The final test for this year will be on Thursday for the Forensic Unit and will cover everything up to now. Study guide will be taken up tomorrow.

Bio 30 Endocrine Test

We have decided that it would be better to have the Endocrine Test before we leave for the Christmas break so the test in now on December 21. We will take up the questions tomorrow that were assigned on Monday.

Sc 10 Almost Christmas

Only the test left to do before we break before Christmas. Our test is scheduled for Thursday this week. The study guide will be taken up tomorrow. By now you should have handed in your lab on acceleration and your textbook questions will be marked.

CTS Correcting Day

Today we corrected all of the assignments on bones that we have done. Tomorrow we will look at blood and how it plays a part in a crime scene.-

Bio 30S Endocrine Glands

We finished off the notes on the Endocrine System. Tomorrow we will go over our study guide for the test on Friday. -+

Sc 10 Acceleration Rules Baby

Today we ran a toy car down a ramp and used a ticker tape timer to find the displacement after each 1.0 second time interval. We then graphed the results. For tomorrow both graphs must be done: displacement vs time and velocity vs time.

We will work on the questions and the worksheet tomorrow.

CTS: Bones broken, shattered etc.

Today we looked at how to tell the difference between an animal and a human bone. We looked at how to tell your ancestry from your bones and what kinds of fractures result from certain kinds of trauma. We will continue to work on this tomorrow.

Bio 30 Testing your reflexes

Today we looked at the reflex arc and how it works. It seems you don't even need a brain for this to work. It seems that some of you have very good reflexes then. (HaHaHa).

Our test is on Friday, December 14, 2007. Our next unit is the Endocrine system and how it plays a role in homeostasis of the body.

Sc 10 Last Day for Distance/Time Graph

Today we worked on the Distance Time Velocity Worksheet in which we should have graphed our data over the weekend. Tomorrow they are due to hand in complete with all the questions and the graphs done well.

Our next section is on Acceleration, graphing velocity vs time and finding total distance travelled from the graph. We will be using those graphing skills again so don't forget them.

CTS Big Feet-Tall Person Maybe?????

Today we measured different parts of the body and compared these to our heights. Did we find any correlations? Yes. Feet are 15% of our height. This may become important when we investigate our crime scene in January.

Bio 30 What a Bunch of Brain Children

Today we looked at the brain its parts, and functions. Some lively discussions took place around the brain and alcohol. You were then given a worksheet on the reflex arc which will be due by Monday. You were also given the study guide for this unit. On Monday we will discuss a possible date for this test.

Sc 10 Running in the Hall

Today we collected the purple sheet as it was due at the start of class. We then collected data from one of the students who walked slow, fast and ran in the hall for us. We timed how long it took him to get to the 5m mark, the 10m mark etc up to 50m. Now it is your turn to plot all this data onto your graph paper. All 5 graphs must be completed by Monday so we can start analyzing the graphs. Be sure to have them done.

CTS - Library Research

As yesterday there were so few people here, we will again try the computers for the research you need to do for the worksheets you got on Monday.

Bio 30 - What a storm!!!

Today we went over the worksheet on the neuron as well as finished off transmission of impulse from neuron to neuron. Tomorrow I hope to be able to get you into the library for the disorder research.

Sc 10 - Are you dug out yet?????

Yesterday was a great day to study weather. Unfortunately, we couln'g do it at school so today we had to go over yesterday's work. You were given two worksheets that will be due for tomorrow's class. They are the white sheet and the purple sheet.

Tomorrow we will be conducting an experiment with distance, velocity, displacement, time and graphing. It will be a lot of fun so don't miss it.

CTS - yes we can see your fingerprints

On Friday we had a look at iodine fumigation of a fingerprint and found that it shows up quite nicely. Today we also saw a print from the Krazy glue chamber. Your Forensic Books were handed in today as well. Tomorrow we will look at the effects of alcohol on your brain and your body handles it.

Biology 30 - See how the impulse travels.

Today we had a short video on the nervous system and saw how the impulse travels down the axon to another nerve cell. You also saw how one neuron communicates with another through transmitter substance. Tomorrow you go to the library to do your reseach on the neurological disorders. Be sure to bring with you your worksheet with the disorders on them.

Science 10 - Weather Tests are Back

Today I handed back the Weather tests. We then continued on in our unit on Motion. The assignment was page 358 1-7. This will be due for tomorrow. Tomorrow we will be getting two worksheets on distance and time so you can get more practice on this concept.
