ITS 40S
Today we started our presentations on the emerging and re-emerging diseases. This will likely take today and tomorrow. Our next unit will be on Energy and Alternate Energy.
Agriculture 20S
Today we looked at the types of crops grown in Manitoba. We also had an assigment called Plant Nutritional Values which is due tomorrow.
You had to hand in your assignment on Research on Plants.
Your test on this unit will be Maarch 28th. A study guide will be given out today or tomorrow.

Today we finished off the types of evolution. Tomorrow we will do an activity on how evolution can result.

We are still working on the Plant Science. Be sure to have handed in your seed lab and to check on your sprouting seeds.
The study guide for the exam will be available on Monday April 7th. You will work on it in class from Monday to Thursday. It will become part of your exam. The exam is on Monday April 14th from 1:15 to 3:30.

We just finished our test on DNA to Proteins and are now working on the Biodiversity Classification as well as Evolution. There will be a short test on March 20 th to wrap up before Spring Break. Be sure to hand in your shark assignment.

ITS 40S One major assignment left in this section
We only have our emerging and re-emerging diseases section left in the Epidemiology Unit. The next unit is on Energy and Alternate Energy. There will be no mid term exam in this course so daily assignments and Unit tests are very important to your grades.

We continue with our Plant Science classes. Mr. Fisher will be taking over some of the lessons in this class. He has some great things planned for you. I hope you work hard to learn the materials and to participate in the activities.
Science grade 9 New Unit
Today we will begin our new unit on Heredity. It looks like it will be rather short so we will only need to have a quiz on it by the end of next week. Just a reminder of the test on Monday which will be in Mrs. Maxwell's room again.
Bio 40S Done with DNA
Today we wrote our DNA to Proteins test. Monday we will begin with Classification and then into Evolution. Mr. Fisher, our teacher candidate will be conducting the lessons. See you on Monday.

ITS 40
Today we will be finishing off the immune system and how it works to protect us from invaders. Next week we will look at vaccinations and at both emerging and re-emerging diseases. There will be a written/presentation assignment handed out at this time.

Today we finished off the female hormones and then worked on Page 88/89 the Menstrual Cycle. Also you were given a worksheet puzzle. The textbook questions will be due for Monday and the worksheet will be due on Tuesday.

Today we worked on our workpages and textbook questions. You also got a new worksheet that is about transcription and translation of mutations. These need to all be completed by Tuesday as Monday is the first day of the pilot ELA exam.

ITS 40S
Today we finished up the worksheet on viruses and prions. We will be taking this up tomorrow and then looking at how our body builds a defense against agents of disease. A test in this unit is likely by the end of next week.

Today we finished up the plant tissues needed for growth. We also finished up an assignment called Plant Definitions which needs to be completed by tomorrow so we can go over it. It will be worth term marks.
