CTS Criminal Profiling

Tomorrow we will finish up the Forensic Unit by studying criminal profiling. We will start our investigation on the crime scene on Wednesday.

Bio 30 S Assisted Reproduction

We finished our stem cell project and tomorrow we will discuss the committee's recommendations and find out what Canada actually decided in its legislation.

Science 10 Test tomorrow

Tomorrow is our final test of the year. Hope you have studied hard.

CTS: Soon we will solve the crime

We only have 2 more lessons in CTS before we investigate the crime scene and solve the "who-dun-it". This will likely take place next week about the 23rd or so.

Bio 30S Stem Cells Unit

Today we wrapped up our unit on Death and Aging with a final test. Tomorrow we will start the Stem Cell unit which will not be part of your exam.

Science 20S Not Long Now

Only 12 more sleeps until exams start and only 7 more class periods. Your final exam is January 28, 2008 at 9 am.

Just a reminder that your unit test is on January 22. Both the exam and unit test study guides are now available so you need to start working on these..

Your Breaking Distance Lab is due for tomorrow so be sure it is completed.

CTS Animal Hair analysis

We had a look under the microscope at dog, cat, rabbit and human hair. There is remarkable differences between all of the different kinds of hair. We will look at DNA analysis on Monday.

Biology 30 S the meaning of death

We had a rather excited discussion on the meaning of death as it pertained to a story we had read. The class seemed to all agree that you are dead when there is no brain activity and have no brain stem function. We will finish up the year with a small section on stem cells and the research taking place. Final test is scheduled for January 16 and the final exam is on January 31 in the morning.

Sc 10 Mass and Acceleration

We finished up our assignment on Mass and Acceleration from our on line activity. It will be due on Monday so be sure to finish it up this weekend. We have a test scheduled for January 22. The final exam is scheduled for January 28 in the morning.

CTS Blood Blood Everywhere

Welcome back from break. We continue to work on our Forensic Unit. Today we looked at blood splatter and how angle as well as distance blood falls will affect the size and shape of the splatter. I will be taking in your Forensic Book this weekend for marking so be sure to have it up to date.

Welcome back from your break. Today we finished off the worksheet on how the body ages and why it ages. You also got a worksheet about What is the Meaning of Death. Maybe discuss these questions with your parents to get their take on the subject.

Science grade 10

Hope you all had a great Christmas Break. We are continuing with our unit on Motion. Yesterday we handed i n our lab from Monday's class and then worked on Newton's Second Law of Motion. Today we worked on an Impulse and Momentum Worksheet which will be due tomorrow. We may start discussion on the answers today if everyone gets finished.
